circa 1862, with octagonal 7 1/4in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'BEALS PATENT SEPT. 14 1858, MANUFACTURED BY REMINGTONS ILION, N.Y.', nickel fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap, solid iron frame, plain six-shot cylinder, single action mechanism with spurred hammer, smooth flared walnut grips and hinged under-barrel rammer, the whole stripped of finish with pitting throughout
