circa 1795, with heavy octagonal 9in. barrel, traces of 'LONDON' signed on top-flat, bead fore-sight, white metal line at breech, engraved top-tang, flat, slightly curved borderline and scroll engraved lock signed 'RICHARDS & CO' with stepped rounded tail, en-suite cock (axis screw replaced), rain-proof pan and roller (loss to detail throughout), walnut full-stock with bag shaped butt, later fine chequering, iron furniture including 'angel-wing' side nail escutcheon and brass topped mahogany ramrod
