for 1859, with two-stage 7 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat at breech signed 'ADDRESS SAML. COLT NEW YORK CITY', articulated under-barrel rammer (rear part replaced or modified), open iron frame factory stamped upside down 'COLTS PATENT', plain cylinder scrubbed of scene, brass grip-straps and trigger-guard, smooth walnut flared grips, darkly stained with some mild pitting
