circa 1855 and loosely of Lancer's type, with round 9in. barrel in the white and addressed 'HOLBORN, LONDON', commercial London proofs, no provision for sights, plain solid top-tang, plain borderline engraved lock of musket size signed 'PARKER FIELD & SONS', musket size hammer, walnut full-stock with brass furniture including short-tailed shallow domed butt-cap, trigger-guard bow with short tangs, winged side-nail caps and flat-faced fore-end cap with integral ramrod throat, fitted with a pan-headed captive iron swivel ramrod
