28 1/4in. nitro reproved shot barrels serial number 23939, with solid raised tapered matt top rib, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 3/4 and full choke, three-piece fore-end with wooden side-fillets, originally dated for September 1937;
bolstered scroll-back action with hold-open toplever, manual safety, side-mounted gold pin cocking-indicators, articulated front trigger, partially engraved with Germanic scrolls, bright and blued finish overall, 14 1/4in. well-figured pistolgrip stock with sculpted cheekpiece, hogsback comb, birdshead pistolgrip, sling swivels and including 5/8in. rubber recoil pad, weight 7lb. 12oz. (rifle barrels) and 6lb. 11oz. (shot barrels)
