A 12-BORE 'EXTRA ENGRAVING' BOXLOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 6681,
for 1916, 29in. nitro barrels, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, partially repaired dent/bulge left tube, loose on action, treble-grip action with hidden third bite, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, bold acanthus scroll engraving, the makers name in an elaborate deco cartouche, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 15 1/4in. figured stock including 7/8in. rubber recoil pad, bolstered fore-end wood, weight 6lb. 10oz., in a brass-cornered leather case

Provenance: The makers records state that the gun was sold on the 16th September 1916 with 29in. barrels, A&D action with extra engraving
