20in. barrel with block and blade front-sight and hinged leaf battle sights, fitted with a bayonet lug on underside of barrel 4 1/2in. back from the muzzle, pivoting block action operated by an underlever, fitted with a back-action lock and side hammer, saddle ring on the left side of the action, two-piece walnut stock, the fore-end with one spring retained barrel band, the butt with iron crescent buttplate and a sling swivel on the underside
