circa 1860, with octagonal 39 1/4in. barrel, plain muzzle, moulded ramp fore-sight and standing rear-sight block, side mounted pan with replacement hinged brass cover, plain long back-action brass lockplate with external serpentine and mainspring, shaped fruitwood full-stock with brass carved escutcheons around the apertures for holding the match and pins, further brass decorative inlays of lions and a rolling cloud design running for half the length of the underside of fore-end, guarded ball trigger, moulded heel-plate with comb-guard and replacement wood ramrod
