A RARE EARLY .177 BSA LONG MILITARY PATTERN UNDER-LEVER AIR-RIFLE, serial no. 17,
for 1907, with 20 7/8in. barrel, ramp and dove-tailed blade fore-sight, fixed swivel loop 6in. back from muzzle, tap-action breech, elevating ladder rear-sight mounted to front of the air-chamber, the chamber further stamped 'THE BIRMINGHAM SMALL ARMS COMPANY LIMITED' and 'BSA MILITARY AIR RIFLE' to the top of the trigger unit, dummy bolt-handle, walnut butt-stock with iron heel-plate, plain walnut half-stock fore-end, iron trigger guard with trigger adjuster and sling swivel to the front, 'spade' catch under-lever without side-fences, later worn painted finish
