circa 1912, with octagonal 16 3/4in. rifled barrel, the top-flat marked 'THE ANSONIA, RIFLED BARREL', dove-tailed blade fore-sight, lowered standing notch rear-sight with additional folding leaf, cast air-chamber with hinged barrel catch on the left-hand side marked 'ANSON'S BOLT ACTION', trigger unit stamped 'THE ANSONIA' on both sides, chequered walnut half-pistol grip butt-stock stamped 'E. ANSON & CO 14 STEELHOUSE LANE BIRM.' on the left-hand side, iron heel-plate and exposed cocking link (traces of finish throughout, some mild frosting)
