28in. nitro reproved (by the makers in 1998) chopperlump barrels, ribs gold-inlaid '1' and '2', and engraved 'BOSS & CO., 41, ALBEMARLE STREET, PICCADILLY, LONDON. W.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx.1/4 and 1/2 choke, easy-opening actions with removable striker discs, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, Boss improved patent single triggers, patent no. 22894 of 1894, rolled-edge triggerguards, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, retaining virtually full renewed colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/2in. well-figured replacement semi-pistolgrip stocks including 1/2in. leather-covered recoil pads (by the makers), weight 6lb., in their lightweight leather motor case; together with their original approx. 14 1/2in. figured straight hand stocks including 5/8in. leather covered recoil pads, missing escutcheons

Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that gun No.1 was completed on 15th March 1931 and that the No.2 was built to match on 23rd February 1937. The guns were completely refinished by the makers in 1998.
