dated for 1870, with 19 1/4in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, small ladder rear-sight, flip open breech with sprung catch, plain lock signed 'ENFIELD' together with the date and a 'V.R.' Crown device to tail, walnut half-stock with 'Enfield' circular stamp to butt, brass furniture including heel-plate with central trap-door, single barrel-band and no provision for cleaning rod
