circa 1859, with straight double-edged 29 1/2in. blade, the forte with blind double fullers and ordnance marked, pierced half-basket iron hilt with a rubbing vine and figure '8' muzzle slot, chequered composite grips, some corrosion to hilt and light staining to blade, no scabbard
