A 32-BORE PERCUSSION RIFLED TARGET PISTOL OF DUELLING STYLE, no visible serial number,
circa 1830 but possibly converted from flint, with browned twist-iron slightly swamped10 1/2in. octagonal barrel, dove-tailed nickel fore-sight blade, twin gold lines at breech together with an inlet rectangular gold poincon reading 'CRAUSE HERZBERG', broad engraved band to front of the acanthus engraved top-tang, the tang also with keyway to adjust the notch rear-sight, flat clip-tailed borderline and scroll engraved lock, inlet with a similar gold poincon forwards of the hammer, scroll engraved slab-sided hammer with swinging white-metal mounted safety to the front, walnut half-stock (some blind cracks) with chequered pistol grip, flared flat pommel with engraved inlet cap, engraved white-metal spurred trigger-guard and tang, set-trigger, engraved white-metal nose-cap and ramrod throat combined and brass tipped wood ramrod
