circa 1865, with octagonal 8in. barrel stripped of markings, plain cylinder, solid iron frame, probable working replacement brass trigger guard, and smooth walnut grips, iron surfaces refinished, together with a later leather belt-holster

Other Notes: The number that appears under the grip is 141338 which was part of the final shipment of revolvers made by Remington to the British Ordnance Department in March 1865.
