Other Notes: In his book 'John Dickson & Son - The Round Action Gunmaker', Donald Dallas makes reference to a series of boxlock action guns that were 'bought in' and not numbered within the usual Dickson sequence. Dating to the 1920's and 30's, these guns were not recorded in the sales ledgers and were only occasionally referenced in the end papers. He illustrates a very similar example to this Lot, serial no. 14106 on page 192
