early 19th century, with strongly curved 27 1/2in. blade, traces of blue and gilt decoration featuring a marshall trophy and the coat of arms of George III, brass 'D' shaped knucklebow with integral boat-shaped pierced crossguard, the bow with carved royal cypher, brass lionshead pommel and back-strap, sharkskin wire bound grip, no scabbard
