for 1861, with round 8in. barrel signed 'ADDRESS COL SAML COLT NEW-YORK U.S. AMERICA', nickel fore-sight, sighting notch to the hammer nose, plain stepped cylinder with traces of roll-engraved scene, iron open frame marked 'COLT'S PATENT' and with additional factory side-screws for a shoulder-stock (hammer screw replaced), brass trigger-guard and front grip-strap, one-piece smooth walnut grip and under-barrel rammer, stripped of finish with some mild frosting, wedge replaced
