circa 1873, with rare blued 4 1/2in. octagonal barrel signed on the top-flat 'PATENTED SEPT 14. 1858, E. REMINGTON & SONS, ILION, NEWYORK U.S.A., NEW MODEL', crescent fore-sight, the underside of barrel with conversion number '125', sighting groove to top-strap, solid blued iron frame, plain five-shot cylinder with detachable knurled end-plate, spur trigger with iron trigger-plate, spurred hammer, smooth walnut grips and retaining its original loading lever below the barrel, strong amount of finish remaining
