early 1930's, with 4in. rifled barrel denoted by an asterisk, top of air chamber stamped 'HAENAL MOD 28-R BRIT PAT NO 277285 DRP', pop-up breech, spring loaded magazine plunger in rear cylinder cap, hinged frame cocking action, trigger guard with release button and safety catch, smooth wood grips with inlaid brass medallions marked 'HAENAL', the whole in loose imitation of the shape of a German Luger service pistol (older refinish throughout)
