circa 1915, 27 1/2in. black powder proof barrels with raised wave-cut rib, open sights with folding leaf, blade fore-sight, steel rifle barrel to the right, twist 12-bore shot barrel to the left with 2 1/2in. chamber and bored approx. 3/4 choke, treble-grip action, set front trigger (at fault), unusual pin and star chequerboard engraving surrounding game scenes of deer and hound, 14 1/4in. semi-pistolgrip stock (chip at comb) with sling swivels and steel buttplate, fore-end with grip-catch release lever (loss to left edge of wood), weight 7lb. 4oz.
