A BOXED .177 BARREL-COCKING AIR-PISTOL, MODEL 'PRE-WAR JUNIOR', serial no. J6024,
circa 1933-34, with 6 1/2in. smoothbore barrel, fixed rear-sight, plain air-chamber marked on the left 'THE WEBLEY JUNIOR .177 PATENTED IN GREAT BRITAIN No. 219272 AND ALL PRINCIPAL COUNTRIES', the rear on the same side marked 'MADE IN ENGLAND', the right front marked 'WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD BIRMINGHAM', cast iron frame with ribbed tinplate grips, the whole retaining virtually all its original finish but with some corrosion spots from storage; TOGETHER WITH its maker's card carton with orange paper label, the lid interior with instructions and the tray containing a scarce card sample box for 'Webley pellets and darts' (some contents), a spares list and adverts for this and other pistols from the manufacturer and also a set of dart removing pliers and a period packet of darts (small losses and weaknesses to box, generally good)
