the first a left hand flintlock with fully rainproof pan and roller frizzen signed in a gold poincon 'CLARK' with a crown device, the second, similar but signed 'STAUDENMAYER, LONDON', the third similar again but in the white and unsigned, the fourth of early form with unbridled frizzen, bevel edged and with extreme pointed tail, unsigned, the fifth a lockplate and hammer only from a tubelock signed 'JOSEPH MANTON PATENT', the sixth an experimental reversed frizzen lock (incomplete and unsigned), the seventh an excellent example from 'MASS ARMS CO' and fitted with a Maynard tape priming system and the last an early example converted from flint and signed 'JOSEPH BRAZIER'
