A PAIR OF 32-BORE FLINTLOCK TRAVELLING-PISTOLS FOR RESTORATION, no visible serial numbers,
circa 1800, with browned twist-iron 3in. barrels, carved sighting ribs signed in script 'LONDON', bead fore-sights, engraved and gold bands at breech,, fully engraved top-tangs, platinum lined touch-holes, bevel edged stepped locks with clipped tails and border and scroll engraving, both signed 'I. BLANCH' (sic), semi rainproof pans, roller frizzens and sliding safes behind the hammers (one lock missing hammer, the other missing safety), walnut full-stocks with finely chequered bag-shaped butts, blued and engraved trigger-guard bows, white metal oval barrel key escutcheons and brass tipped mahogany ramrods, both pistols retaining a remarkable amount of finish
