Belgian, circa 1770, with round tapering 13in. iron barrel, applied boat-shaped brass fore-sight blade, Liege proof and maker's mark 'VB' at breech, solid top-tang with engraved number '30', slightly curved and radiused pointed tail lock with bridleless frizzen and armourer's mark stamped behind the frizzen spring, beech full-stock with heavy brass furniture including 'T' shaped side plate, long spurred butt-cap and trigger-guard bow with pinched pillars, brass nose-cap and provision for under-barrel ramrod (missing)
