A COMPOSED PAIR OF .36 PERCUSSION SIX-SHOT REVOLVERS, MODEL 'NAVY', serial no's. 8763 and 4201,
circa 1868, the first with octagonal 6 1/2in. barrel signed 'MANHATTAN FIRE ARMS CO NEWARK NJ. PATENTED MARCH 8 1864', plain open iron frame, plain cylinder with roll engraved decoration and twelve locking notches, brass grip-straps and trigger-guard, smooth walnut one piece grip and hinged under-barrel rammer, traces only of faded finish, the second similar, but with possibly shortened 4in. barrel fitted with a later rear-sight and replacement barrel-wedge, with some finish and colour (cylinder cleaned)
