circa 1900, with blued octagonal smoothbore 20 1/2in. barrel, dove-tailed blade fore-sight, elevating standing notch rear-sight, plain nickel-plated air-chamber and trigger-housing, chequered walnut butt-stock with carved and raise cheek-piece, nickel-plated butt-cap and cocking lever, the latter forming the trigger-guard and walnut splinter fore-end with barrel release catch
