circa 1870, with 22in. round barrel, dove-tailed fore-sight, four folding leaf express rear sight (one leaf and ladder absent), the action scroll engraved and signed 'WESTLEY RICHARDS PATENT' on the left, iron underlever and trigger-block, chequered walnut straight-hand butt-stock with white metal oval escutcheon inlet to underside, rubber butt-pad (perished), sling eyes, detachable chequered fore-end with moulded horn tip, the whole with slight traces of finish
