circa 1840, with lacquered brass 41 1/2in. main tube signed 'J. MURRELL, LONDON' on the back-plate, two-drawer extending eye-piece with ratchet and pinion fine focus, offset brass bodied 1in. 'star-finder' telescope mounted to the main body and threaded under-body mounts to attach it to a substantial lacquered brass table tripod with ratchet and pinion elevator, complete in its walnut storage-case with extra eye-pieces, much finish remaining (objective lens with two edge chips)
