A 16-BORE / 8X57MM BOXLOCK NON-EJECTOR DRILLING, serial no. 1572,
26 3/4in. nitro barrels with raised file cut rib, flip-up open sights and bead fore-sight, the breech end with quickly-detachable telescopic mount bases, 2 1/2in. shot chambers, bored approx. 1/4 choke in both, scroll-back treble-grip action with side-clips and short side-bolsters, pin cocking-indicators, tang-mounted shot / ball selector switch, manual side safety, set front trigger, horn triggerguard (cracked and repaired), bold Germanic scroll engraving on a stippled background surrounding carved game scenes of deer, rabbit, pheasant and duck, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 14 1/4in. pistolgrip stock (strengthening pin at head) with cheekpiece, fluted horn pistolgrip-cap, sling eyes, sprung ammunition trap and basketweave horn buttplate, weight 7lb. 7oz.
