* A .700 PERCUSSION SERVICE MUSKET, UNSIGNED, serial no. 904, COMPLETE WITH BAYONET,
probably Belgian or Swiss and converted from flint circa 1840, with plain iron 40 1/2in. barrel, boat-shaped fore-sight applied to the nose-cap band, no provision for rear-sight, the serial number beneath the roman numeral 'III' at breech, plain military style lock retaining fenced pan cut-out and plugged holes, sculpted hammer, walnut full-stock with iron furniture, no finger ribs to lower tang, two barrel-bands and double banded nose-cap, iron ramrod with conical tip, the whole with patchy staining to exposed iron surfaces and complete with an iron socket bayonet for the same model in similar condition (no scabbard)
