Belgian circa 1870, with laminated iron 29in. barrels, flat top-rib signed in white-metal 'M. ARENDT A LIEGE', further while metal line at breech, moulded fences to the standing breech, the action and back-action locks machine engraved with a checkerboard and dot design, the locks enhanced by bordered panels of gamescene engraving, en-suite hammers, chequered walnut butt-stock with raised cheek-piece, en-suite iron heelplate, complex trigger-guard and swing under-lever and integral iron splinter fore-end with further release lever
