A 54-BORE PERCUSSION SELF-COCKING REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'WEBLEY WEDGE-FRAME', no visible serial number,
circa 1852, with blued octagonal 6in. barrel, bead fore-sight, engraved band at muzzle, borderline and scroll engraved two-piece frame of 'Longspur' style with standing notch rear-sight to the top of the recoil shield, plain five-shot cylinder, guarded trigger, spurless hammer and swept grip with coarsely chequered walnut panels and flat iron pommel, wedge-bolt barrel fastening and articulated brushed bright rammer to left hand side of barrel, strong amount of blued finish to barrel, remainder faded and stained (probably originally colour hardened)
