A SCARCE SILVER-CLASS GERMAN TRANSPORT AND GLIDER OPERATIONAL FLYING CLASP,
circa 1942, consisting of a central laurel wreath flanked by sprays of oak-leaves, with a 'Luftwaffe' style eagle applied to the center and broad pin brooch back (some wear to high spots, pin hook bent)

Provenance: This award was instituted on the 19th November 1941 for flight crews of transport and glider aircraft. It was available in Bronze, Silver and Gold classes for 20, 60 and 110 missions respectively
