circa 1859, with 6in. round, sighted barrel, plain cylinder with matching serial number, iron frame marked 'STARR ARMS CO NEW YORK' on the left hand side and 'STARR'S PATENT JAN 15 1856' on the right, walnut smooth grips with traces of martial inspectors cartouche, the whole retaining a good amount of original finish
