A SCARCE 11mm (NEEDLEFIRE) SINGLE-SHOT TARGET PISTOL,
circa 1855, with 9in. octagonal rifled barrel, nickel bladed fore-sight, micro-adjustable rear-sight, the top-flat of barrel inlaid in silver 'EREINDUNG V. C. I. DOERSCH IN LUXEMBURG', border and scroll engraved panels to top and sides of breech, lever for opening action on right hand side, walnut half-stock with fluted grip (broken through and repaired at action), iron butt-cap, spurred iron trigger-guard, set trigger and cocking lever at front of trigger-guard (cleaned and stained throughout)
