A RARE VARIENT SCHRADER 1906 PATENT 8X57 LEVER-COCKING PUSH-FORWARD UNDERLEVER NON-EJECTOR DOUBLE RIFLE, serial no. 27926,
24 1/2in. Krupp-steel nitro barrels with raised matt rib, open sights and ramped bead foresight, and with quickly-detachable claw mount bases, the flat breech end engraved 'OTTO OBERLAUTER. ANKLAM. GUSS STAHL.', broad flat Schrader patent action incorporating 1906 patent underlever opening / cocking / safety lever housed in a split triggerguard, patent no. 180584, barrels with side-mounted locking lugs, detachable sideplate with third locking bite, double set triggers, 14 5/8in. figured pistolgrip stock (repaired crack at hand) with cheekpiece, sling swivels, horn pistolgrip-cap, triggerguard tang and buttplate, slim bolstered fore-end with Anson & Deeley patent release catch, weight 8lb.

Other Notes: The rifle was completed in April 1930 and is particularly unusual to be found in double rifle form rather than the more common drilling versions.
