W.' and gold-inlaid '3', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, toplever gold-inlaid '3', gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, Boss 1905 improved patent single trigger, rolled-edge triggerguard, best fine bouquet and scroll engraving, retaining virtually full renewed colour-hardening and finish, the makers name gold-inlaid on the lockplates and underside, 14 3/4in. well-figured replacement stock including 1in. leather covered recoil pad, weight 6lb. 9oz., in a lightweight leather case
Provenance: The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed in 1918 as a number three gun to match a pair, serial numbers 6487 / 8, completed in 1915. The gun was made for the same owner as the pair, a J. Peech Esq. They confirm that the replacement barrels were by them in 1919.
