28in. nitro replacement barrels, rib gold-inlaid '2', tubes engraved 'CHARLES HELLIS & SONS. 27 ST. JAMES'S ST. LONDON. S.W.1.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip action, automatic safety with silver-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, action and recessed decorative sideplates fully engraved with best bold acanthus scrollwork with beaded and feathered bordering, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 13 3/4in. figured stock, slightly cast on, weight 6lb. 8oz.
