pre World War One, with drop-open 20 1/2in. smooth-bore octagonal barrel, dove-tailled blade fore-sight, over-size rear-sight, nickel-plated air-chamber and action body with border and scroll engraving (initials or monogram erased from top of action), walnut chequered butt-stock with raised cheek-piece (comb re-modelled), nickel plated border and floral engraved trigger-guard cocking lever, walnut 'schnabel' forend, the whole with much original finish
