circa 1860, with re-browned 34in. two-stage twist-steel barrel, twin silver lines at breech, replacement nipple, scroll engraved tang, border-line and scroll engraved back-action lock signed 'BLANKS', scroll engraved hammer, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist (possibly re-stocked), iron heel-plate, serial number stamped in underside of butt, scroll engraved trigger-guard, nickel-silver forend tip with provision for rammer and original brass-tipped ramrod (re-finished throughout)
