circa 1850, with 29 1/2in. twist-steel barrels, the top rib with traces of address, scroll engraved breech end (pitted) with nickel-silver plugs, border and scroll engraved locks signed 'C. PLAYFAIR & CO.', walnut chequered half-stock with nickel-silver escutcheon to underside, border-line engraved iron furniture, original brass tipped ramrod (worn throughout with some refinishing)
