A 9mm (B/L) SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL MODEL '1922 SOUTH AFRICAN POLICE ISSUE', serial no. 147807
circa 1922, with 5 1/4in. blued sighted barrel, blued slide marked 'WEBLEY & SCOTT LTD. LONDON & BIRMINGHAM 9mm AUTOMATIC PISTOL' with 'W&S' winged bullet trademark on the left side and with Union Defence Force ownership mark on the right side, top-mounted push-button slide release, side mounted safe (thumb-lever broken), blued frame, chequered hard rubber grips (one with small chip at base), fitted with a lanyard ring, the whole retaining nearly all its original blued finish.
