30in. nitro barrels (No.2 nitro reproved in 1995), the tubes engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND 98. NEW BOND STREET. LONDON.' and the ribs engraved '1' and '2', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke (No.1) true cyl. and 3/4 choke (No.2), gas checks, automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, border engraving, the lockplates engraved 'HOLLAND & HOLLAND', brushed bright and blued finish, 15 1/4in. figured stocks including buttplates, No.2 crack at head, weight 6lb. 7oz.(No.1) 6lb. 5oz. (No.2), in their makers brass-cornered oak and leather case with protective internal flap, the lid exterior marked 'CAPTAIN P.H. WALKER. ASKWITH. YORKS.'
Provenance: The makers have kindly informed us that both shotguns were completed for a 'Walker' as No.3 models with 30in. barrels. The completion date of the No.1 gun is not recorded, but the No.2 was built to match in 1924.
