AN EXTREMELY RARE JAPANESE TWO-HANDED SWORD OR 'NODACHI', UNSIGNED,
the curving 43in. blade circa 1700, visible 'hamon', the right side of the blade deeply carved with three Japanese characters, the left with deeply carved 'horimono' of two Imperial dragons facing each other, long plain tang with two mount holes, large copper 'habaki', the whole mounted in a later wood 'shira-saya', fine condition throughout
