the first two 19th century, the first of heavy cross form with rounded lobes, one side deeply carved with flowers and vines, the other with dragons and lightning forks, the radiused edge also carved with further stylised vines, the second, circular and pierced with the '1000 monkeys' design, the last, later, possibly alloyed with copper and of military shin-gunto form, numbered '37' and with traces of gilding
