circa 1785 and probably Continental, with round iron 47in. plain barrel, two simple carved bands approximately two fifths of the way along with a further band at breech, fore-sight re-attached in new dove-tail, standing notch rear-sight, plain top-tang, slightly curved and radiused musket-style lock, walnut full-stock with roach-bellied butt and raised cheek-piece, brass square-backed trigger-guard bow, 'hogs-bristle'' double-set trigger, brass ramrod thimbles and throat and replacement iron ramrod
