circa 1862 and retailed by the London Armoury Co., with 36 1/2in. sighted barrel, flip-open breech with locking thumb-catch and stamped 'LONDON ARMOURY' together with the number '3', plain military-type lock signed 'L.A.C.' and 'JAS. KERR & CO, 54 KING WILLIAM ST. E.C.', 'VR' crown cypher stamped to the tail, walnut three-quarter stock, brass furniture, three iron barrel-bands and an iron jag-ended clearing rod
