A 6-BORE PERCUSSION SINGLE-BARRELLED FOWLING-PIECE, THE BARREL SIGNED 'LONDON', no visible serial number,
circa 1860, possibly re-using an earlier barrel, with twist iron triple-staged 48in. barrel banded at the intersection and with a white-metal inlay of a hunter with his dog flushing game-birds along with the signature 'LONDON' on the top-flat, white-metal 'arrow' inlaid to the muzzle (fore-sight absent), twin gold and platinum lines to the acanthus leaf engraved breech-block, similarly engraved top-tang (hand-nail replaced), border and acanthus leaf engraved back-action lock and hammer, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist with white-metal cap-trap to the underside of stock, iron long-spurred heel-plate and pistol-gripped trigger-guard tang, white metal floral escutcheons to the twin barrel-keys, iron under-rib (loose) and associated ramrod
