circa 1885 and possibly by Steyr, with two-stage 27 1/2in. barrel, micro-adjustable fore-sight, rail-mounted elevating blade rear-sight with butterfly locking bolt, round section receiver inlaid with silver wire borders and scrolls (losses to inlay), straight bolt-handle, push-down locking safe, long top-tang fitted with a triangular socket for peep-sight (missing), walnut half-pistol half-stock chequered at the grip, iron heel-plate, iron trigger-guard bow and tang inlet with silver wire borders and scrolls (losses), double-set triggers, iron swivels and replacement iron under-barrel clearing rod.
